The Twits
By Roald Dahl
A cruel couple’s endless tricks and abuse backfire when the animals they torment outsmart them, causing them to shrink away forever.
Worksheets
Mrs. Twit manages to chew through balloon strings to return to the ground. Mrs. and Mr. Twit use glue and traps to catch birds for pies and force monkeys into an upside-down circus—until the Roly-Poly Bird warns the birds away and Muggle-Wump hatches a clever plan to turn the Twits’ house upside down.
Mr. and Mrs. Twit are a filthy, spiteful pair who amuse themselves by playing nasty pranks on each other, from hiding glass eyes and frogs to worms in food and tricks about shrinking, until Mr. Twit straps Mrs. Twit to balloons and sends her soaring into the sky.
